NORWICH DEVILS NEWS
DEVILS TO HOLD EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
June 6th, 2011 by Norwich Devils Committee

The Norwich Devils are closing the door on a disappointing 2011 campaign by replacing their Annual General Meeting with an Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled for Sunday June 26th, 2011. This course of action was recommended by the Committee to the Membership present at the Team Meeting on Sunday May 29th and in accordance with its Constitution, and the motion was carried by a amjority vote. This will give the Committee and the team a head start going into the 2012 season.

For those who are new to the club or wish to be involved with the Devils at a high level, the AGM, normally held during October is an end of season event that sees all club committee members step down from office to allow the membership to decide who will run the club for the coming year. This EGM will replace the October AGM, and the present Committee members will step down at the close of this EGM, and those persons elected to Committee posts will then take over.

Whilst outgoing members may choose to re-apply for the same position or pursue a different one, the club also opens its doors to external applicants. The positions open to applications are:

Committee Level:
General Manager
Treasurer
Secretary
Equipment Manager
Public Relations
Player Representative
Sponsorship
Recruitment

External applicants will need to provide a brief career summary indicating the skills they will be bringing to the post applied for, and must be present at the EGM. If elected they will need to become members of the club before taking up their posts.

If you are interested and want to help the Norwich Devils get back to winning ways in 2012 please send applications or general enquiries to secretary@norwichdevils.com.
